Description

Skævinge Hallen has been transformed from an introverted sports arena, as we know them from childhood, into a multifunctional activity center.

By creating a strong connection between indoor spaces and outdoor areas Skævinge gains an open meeting place for the entire town. Here, indoor activities can spill outside—warm-ups before handball matches, team gatherings. Residents of Skævinge are also free to play and run as they please. The red staircase is a standout feature in the area, giving Skævinge Hallen a unique identity.

Skævinge red
Existing urban elements got a makeover: they were renovated, painted in a bold red color, and arranged in new configurations. At the same time, new activity elements have been added in the same identity-defining color. This repetition of red creates a sense of recognition across the outdoor areas. The use of res is an element that can be easily bent, stretched, and adapted. It serves as an invitation for residents to spend time outside, rediscover the existing landscape qualities, and connect across the area.
